Annual Renewal Process
Registration Renewal for 2024-2025 opens on February 5th, 2024
- Renewal fees are $525.
- You must complete:
- -Mandatory E-Learning Module
- -Complete the self-assessment tool and identify 2 Learning objectives
- -Review and update of ALL fields in online profile
- -Submit payment (please indicate if you have completed pre-payment through the CSRT or payroll deduction - enrollment with the associated body required.)
- A link to your license will be emailed to you when the Registrar or Deputy Registrar approves your renewal application or if the application is incomplete, you will receive an email stating which requirment was not met. Approval can take up to 7 business days.
- Deadline to register without penalty is March 15th
- Members renewing after March 15th will incur a $50 penalty. Renewal will not be approved until the penalty is paid even if paying through the CSRT or payroll deduction - you must make arrangements with the registrar to pay the late fee.
- Members who allow their license to lapse will pay a $100 reinstatement fee and may be subject to reapplication to the NSCRT.
- You can print your receipt of payment from the site if you pay at the time of renewal. If you pay by cheque your receipt will be printable when your payment has been processed. Payment by cheque or money order must be received on or before March 15th to avoid late fees.

**If you have had a lapse in practice since you were licensed in Nova Scotia, you will be required to submit proof that you meet the legislated currency hours - a minimum of at least 1500 hours practising respiratory therapy in the 4 years immediately before submitting an application. Applicants returning to practice after a lapse who do not meet the currency requirements will be referred to the Credentials Committee for a competency assessment.
