Dear Colleague,

Welcome to the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists. Respiratory Therapy is a regulated profession in Nova Scotia which means you must be registered/licensed to work as a respiratory therapist in Nova Scotia.  The role of the NSCRT is to regulate the profession of Respiratory Therapy in the public interest.  The mandate of the NSCRT is to set the entry to practice standards for the profession and ensure members comply with provincial acts and related laws.  

To apply to become a member, please select the appropriate registration category from the menus to the left of this page.

After choosing the correct registration category, complete the appropriate application and submit the required documents and applicable fees.  

You may not practice respiratory therapy or identify yourself as a "Respiratory Therapist" in Nova Scotia until after you have been issued a certificate of registration.
